EightyPlus ("the App") is an AI-powered financial news briefing app developed by SandClaw. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Key principle: All personal data stays on your device. We do not operate user accounts or collect personal information on our servers.

        2. Data We Do NOT Collect
        No account system. No name, email, phone number, or password.
No reading history. Your news reading activity is never sent to any server.
No AI analysis data. All AI processing runs on-device (Gemma 4 E2B), never uploaded.
No bookmarks/saved data. Stored locally on your device only (SQLite).
No location data. The App does not request location permissions.
No contacts, camera, microphone, or other sensitive permissions

You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings (Google Settings → Ads)

EU/EEA Users (GDPR)

A consent dialog is shown before any ad data is collected
You may withdraw consent at any time via Settings → Privacy & Ads → Manage ad consent
Without consent, ads may still appear but will not be personalized

Access & Deletion: All your data is on your device. Uninstall the app to delete everything.
Ad consent withdrawal: Settings → Privacy & Ads → Manage ad consent
Ad personalization opt-out: Device Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as we add features. Material changes will be notified via an in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.

The App displays AI-generated analysis summaries alongside news articles. These summaries are:

Generated by artificial intelligence. Google Gemini and Gemma 4 E2B are used for analysis.
NOT original article content. They are independent AI interpretations based on article titles and metadata.

Potentially inaccurate or incomplete. AI models may produce errors or hallucinations.
